Lindsay & Josh's New Years Eve Wedding!

What a great way to bring in the New Year with a wonderful white wedding! We had such a great time with Lindsay and Josh on their special day! The weather was well into the negative 20s, with a chilling wind, and this photographer had so many layers on it was painful to sit.  Lindsay and Josh, on the other hand, took it in stride.  They posed beautifully for outdoor photographs, and managed to look stunning (even though I, with all my layers, was still a horrible shade of purple).  Even though it was so cold we managed to have a really incredible time, thanks to this awesome bride and groom.  Check out our photos and you will see exactly what I mean (remember to click on them to see them bigger)! Smeby Family Photo Session with LOCPS

We LOVE repeat clients.  Over time they become more than clients, in fact I am proud to call a number of them friends.  The only challenging thing when you do a session with the same family year after year is to find a fresh location.  You have to offer more than the same old spot; this can be exciting and a little daunting at the same time.  A local Georgetown site just came up with a completion of a bridge and we jumped (not off the bridge of course!) at the chance to try it out! Beautiful baby Owen photographs with LOCPS

There is something so beautiful about babies.  Maybe, it's the way they smell and the peaceful way they sleep.  I know anyone who is a parent feels this, when they are not completely sleep deprived and surviving on coffee or adrenaline.  I'd like to reassure everyone that it gets better... but having  a 4 and almost 2 year old myself... it doesn't actually get better the chaos just changes.  Though with slightly more sleep under your belt you feel you can tackle this head on... or with a mop and bucket! We had the privilege of photographing Melissa and Nicks wedding and were so happy to hear that they were expecting.  Once we met Owen we saw why they were so in love with their adorable little guy! He has a very relaxed personality and you can definitely see it in the photos.  He was also the first baby we had who didn't pee on absolutely everything! Here are some pics!
